Travels, holidays, and keeping it in balance
Hi everyone🙋🏻♀️ I came to Madrid Spain right now to visit my son and spend some time with him and my best friend here. We made a big plan of eating out in different restaurants, lunch and dinner.😅 it will be a marathon!! I will do my best to keep my balance. Here are some of the things I usually do.
– First of all of course we’re going to walk all day long, especially after the meals. Walking right after a big meal has the balance the insulin and blood sugar levels and therefore helps you to keep in balance.
– I will drink a lot of warm water, herbal teas, to keep me hydrated, as well as to keep my tummy a bit fuller so that I don’t indulge in food.
– I brought my Ayurvedic tea mix and ginger, we rented an apartment so I can do my morning tea as always.
– I will also do my morning routine, like brushing and oiling, which will help me to control my Vata dosha, which is easily aggravated during the travels.
– I will try to focus on protein, vegetables, and some salads rather than carbohydrates and sweets.
– I will limit my alcohol assumption, especially in the evening.
Otherwise, I will enjoy these precious limited days and obviously will give some exceptions. I know that when your mood is fine, your stress is low, your digestion works better and your body finds the balance easier..
